Nottingham City Transport (NCT) is the biggest transport operator in Nottingham. With approximately 1,100 employees, we provide a comprehensive network of bus services across the city, 7 days a week.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the business, managing staff whilst ensuring delivery of high quality bus services.  

What we are looking for?

You’ll be someone who has excellent management experience, with a people focused approach. You’ll have an understanding of the impact of the role on the wider organisation, and demonstrable experience in a leadership position. 

You will also have an ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels in a unionised environment within the transport and logistics sector.

You will be able to demonstrate leadership qualities, experience in building, delivering and maintaining relationships as well as delivering results through a team.

In addition, you will:

• Be enthusiastic, flexible & committed to lead a team of driving colleagues and work alongside the wider management team to deliver the Company’s goals.

• Have previous experience of managing budgets
• Be confident interpreting and analysing performance  data and financial information; with the ability to prepare timely reports
• Have a proven successful track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships

A Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers (Passenger Transport) would be advantageous but not essential.

Salary                        Depending on experience (monthly paid)

Hours                        37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
